US 12,716,043 B2 (Timothy Bullivant and Hossam Hassan Tantawy); The Procter & Gamble Company patented a water-soluble unit dose article comprising a water-soluble fibrous nonwoven sheet shaped into a sealed internal compartment containing a granular laundry detergent.
The nonwoven sheet is composed of fibers containing polyvinyl alcohol polymer. The granular detergent comprises about 0.1–5.0 wt.% of a hueing dye particle. The hueing dye particle itself comprises about 1.0–30 wt.% hueing dye—selected from Acid Violet 50, Direct Violet 9, 66, or 99, Solvent Violet 13, or combinations thereof—carried within about 70–99 wt.% carrier material selected from clay, carbonate or a combination of the two.
